A small, family farm located in Louisa County near Zion

Crossroads, Forrest Green Farm is committed to

supplying the best naturally and ecologically grown

medicinal and culinary herb plants, vegetables, grass-

fed beef, pastured chicken eggs, pastured poultry and

horse hay.  Another specialty of Forrest

Green Farm is their registered Polled

Miniature Herefords.  Classes on gardening

and healthy living focus on growing for the

future by teaching about natural and

sustainable methods of growing herbs and

vegetables for healthier, self-reliant living.


On tour day, Forrest Green will be joined by “Sweetie Pies”, with their fantastic home baked pies, and by Breeze Hill Farm with fiber, wool, educational materials, and quail eggs. 


Special Programs:

10:30 am - guided tour of portable laying

chicken houses, portable broiler chicken

pens, and Miniature Herefords


12:00 pm - guided tour of greenhouse and

herb gardens - a short seminar on how to

incorporate culinary and medicinal herbs

into your daily life - under the pavilion with

drinks and herbal samples


Farm Animals:  Miniature Herefords,

chickens (layers and broilers), horses,

donkey, guardian dogs and bees.


Farm Sales:  Farm store open for seasonal

plants, produce, dried herbal products, honey

and meat sales.


Directions: 

64 East to Exit 136 (Zion Crossroads). Turn

right onto Route 15 South, proceed one mile

to the stoplight and turn left on Route 250

East. Go 4 miles, then turn left onto Route

626 (Evergreen Road).  Go 2 miles, and

driveway is on the left - look for “Forrest

Green Farm” sign.
