Farm Description: Founded in 2010, Whisper Hill Farm is located on bottom land along the Robinson River in Rapidan, Virginia. Farmers Holly and James Hammond raise 3 acres of vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. They work hard at being good stewards of the land through sustainable practices.
Special Programs on tour day:
Guided tours: Come walk the farm with farmers Holly & James at 9:00 am, 11:30 am, and 2:30 pm.
Tomato Tasting: Come out to the farm to participate in a tasting of over 20 different tomato varieties. Taste and rate your favorite! Tastings will proceed each guided tour: 9:30 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm.

Just wanted to pass along the most up-to-date schedule for Whisper Hill for tour day. We know it’s going to probably rain most of the day, but we will have some great interactive demo’s happening out of the rain & in the barn! J
Autumn Berry Jam Making Learn how to identify, pick, and process this wild tart berry into a delicious jam. Samples and sales of this delightful wild berry jam will be available all day.

Crock-Pot Field Pea Samples
And of course we will have a full farm stand set-up and ready for those great customers who brave the weather! J
On Farm Sales? Yes! We will have a ‘market stand’ set up for you to purchase what we have in season. Someone from the farm will be there to answer any questions and assist in check-out.
Farm Animals? None with fur or feathers - but honeybees!

Directions: - Route 20 North to Orange. Turn left onto Route 15 North (North Madison Road), and continue about 8.5 miles. Turn right on Route 721 (Robinson River Road) - farm will be on the left.
